Plunging to a depth of 1,645 feet, this 2 million-year-old sapphire body of water is the jewel of its namesake, Tahoe Basin. The Tahoe Basin is included in the boundaries of the Tahoe National Forest and Tahoe State Park. Activities for park visitors include vast hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking trails including the famed Tevis Cup Trail. Not interested in seeing Tahoe on foot?
