The National Park Inn resides within Mount Rainier National Park. Located six miles inside the park from the southwest Nisqually Entrance, the National Park Inn is nestled in the historic Longmire District. The National Park Inn is a relaxing year-round retreat with breathtaking views of Mount Rainier directly from the front porch. Rooms are meant to be simple. There are no televisions, internet, or telephones (landlines in the rooms or cell phone coverage). The National Park Inn has 25 guestrooms. Eighteen rooms have a private bath while seven rooms have shared bathrooms. Rooms sleep a maximum of two to four people depending on the size and number of beds. All rooms except for two accessible rooms are located on the second floor of the lodge. Since there is no elevator, rooms on the second floor are accessible by stairs only.
Guests of the National Park Inn have a variety of options for a cozy experience while enjoying the historical lodge and views of the nearby towering Mount Rainier. A favorite for guests is partaking in the afternoon tea located in the guest library in front of a roaring fire. Also, massively popular is soaking in the views of Mount Rainier while sitting on the verandah (front porch) in comfortable seating. Guests can also enjoy the views from the dining room while consuming a glass or bottle of wine. The dining room at the National Park Inn offers cuisine of the Pacific Northwest in a family-friendly casual setting. The dining room is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is also a general store at the Inn for visitors to browse through or to get items for their visit. Sitting at an elevation of 2,700 feet in the historic Longmire District of Mount Rainier National Park, the National Park Inn is a mere short drive away from the Paradise area. Hiking trails are nearby and the views are picturesque as guests enjoy a quiet getaway to a historic National Park lodge.
